TUT Undergraduate Online Application 2024
The Tshwane University of Technology, TUT Online Applications for admission to Undergraduate programmes for higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas & degrees for the 2024 academic year will be open from 1st April to 30 November 2023.
If you wish to start a new programme, you have to apply for TUT admission in 2023. This Application includes the following:
- TUT applicants applying for the First time
- TUT applicants who are willing to change their current programme to a new qualification or who want to specialize in a programme
- Previous students who applied for TUT admission and did not get a space
- Applicants who got a space but were not able to register
- Applicants who are completing higher certificate programmes or any other programme of choice and want to continue with further Undergraduate studies.
Please note that all applications must be submitted online within the prescribed application period.

TUT Postgraduate Online Application 2024
The Tshwane University of Technology, TUT Applications for admission to Postgraduate programmes for the 2024 academic year are open from 1 April to 15 June 2024 for all international applicants and 31 July for July intake.
TUT Postgraduate Applications for Masters and PhDs are taken into consideration throughout the academic year. Applicants are encouraged to consult the Faculty and Departments before they submit their applications. Higher degree qualifications at TUT result from advanced teaching and learning requirements as well as an accurate and deep understanding and more academic focus. If your TUT application for admission is successful, you have to register for the 2024 academic year. If you fail to register for the 2024 academic year for any reason, you will be required to re-apply for the 2024 academic year.
TUT will evaluate your submission based on the academic entrance criteria for your chosen programme and your undergraduate final grade. A systematic selection and acceptance process is followed by applications, which can take up to three months to complete.

General Application Information for Postgraduate students
- It is in the interest of any applicant to submit the application forms as soon as possible and not to wait until the closing date for applications.
- Remember that this form must be completed by all new students.
- If you were able to be registered at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) for the previous academic term or part thereof, you need not complete the application form again.
- All those who are not South African citizens should submit a study permit before registration. Provisional acceptance does not imply exemption from this requirement.
- You must pay non-refundable administration or application fee of R240 for your application process.
- All applicants are to provide certified copies of the ID documents and all necessary qualifications.
- Provide the original academic record. If you pay the application fee online or at a bank, you must attach the evidence of payment to the application form.
TUT Application for Admission and Registration 2024
- All Prospective students for postgraduate studies should apply for admission to the necessary programmes and academic departments on the required application form before the official closing date.
- TUT Registration 2023 for a postgraduate degree takes place before the set closing date for postgraduate registration.
- But for postgraduate certificates, registration for post-diploma qualifications occurs along with registration for four-year baccalaureus technological degrees and national diplomas.
- Admission to both programs is contingent on a successful assessment. No prospective student would be eligible to participate in any program without first being assessed.
- During the enrollment process for each school year, all applicants must register and pay the appropriate initial fees.
If your application for admission to a programme or both qualifications of your choosing is denied, you can appeal the decision, either on the grounds that the decision was made in error by the university or that further supporting documents may result in a different outcome about your admission application. You have ten days from the day you obtain the decision on your submission to file an appeal using the specified form. Please keep in mind that failing to upload the required supporting documents during the application period would not result in a successful appeal.

TUT ADMISSION REQUIREMENT 2024
All Applicants must be able to meet the following minimum general admission requirements before he/she can be able to apply online for admission at TUT
- At the Senior Certificate rank, a pass mark in English has required i.e. a minimum additional language; certain programmes may require first or home language status
- Admission standards for specific programs will vary from year to year, so prospective students can keep this in mind.
- Every course or programme has its own set of admissions criteria.
- Students will be asked to take an entrance exam into certain programs, which will decide if they will be accepted to the class or whether they will be advised to enroll in a similar foundation course.

Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
For NSC-G purposes, all students must take one of the two subjects.

TUT Registration/Deposit fee upon registration
- In January/February and July, an advanced payment of R1 500 is needed at the time of registration. New students who have already paid the R500 registration fee will only have to pay R 1000 when they register.
- If a student cancels after the enrollment process, he or she will get a full refund but will lose the R240 class deposit.
- Only if the student no longer qualifies or has been removed from the program can the tuition be refunded in full.
