NSFAS Online Application Dates 2025-2026
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) Online Application for the 2025-2026 academic year will be open on 28 September 2025 and close on 21 January 2026. Please, remember that all application dates will be published on the NSFAS website. Go to www.nsfas.org.za and see all application dates and make sure you submit your online application on time. No Late Application will be accepted by NSFAS for the 2025 academic year.
How to Apply for NSFAS Online Application Form 2025-2026
Hurrey, all those who wish to apply for NSFAS Application Form 2025 online must follow the steps outlined below:
- Go to the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
- Find myNSFAS at the top-right menu of the page
- Click on myNSFAS to create an account
- After you have created myNSFAS account, click on “Apply”
- Update all your details
- Ensure that you have all your supporting documents
- Upload your supporting documents (ID documents or birth certificate, your parents, guardian, or spouse ID, etc).
- Complete your application by clicking on the “SUBMIT” button.

All candidates will be notified of their application status by NSFAS. You must verify your application status for the 2023-2024 academic year on the myNSFAS Account Portal to see if you have been “Provisionally Funded.”
How to Check NSFAS Application Status 2025-2026
To check the NSFAS Application Status for 2025, you must follow the simple steps below:
- Go to the NSFAS Status website: www.nsfas.org.za/application-status
- Log in to myNSFAS account.
- In case you don’t have one, Click HERE
- Enter your User ID in the space provided
- Enter the password you created during the application process.
- Click “Track Funding Progress” to check your NSFAS Status for 2025
Document Needed for NSFAS Bursary Application 2025-2026
- Your own cellphone number and email address
- A copy of your ID or birth certificate
- Copies of parents, guardians, or spouse’s evidence of income
- Copies of your parents, guardian, or spouse’s ID
- Proof of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 (if applicable,)
- If you are an SASSA grant recipient, no proof of income.
- Applicants with a disability must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
- Applicant as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.
