Please Take Note: All Applicants are advised to apply as early as possible in the prescribed application period. Applications close at the end of July for all undergraduates students and October for postgraduate applicants.

What you should know before you apply online at TUT;
- You will require an active cellphone number and a valid email address to complete the application. If you do not have one, it is very necessary to create one from either gmail.com, ymail.com, etc.
- South African citizens will need an ID number whiles international applicants will need passport number.
- Must have registered for the NBTs before applying online.
- You must pay an online application fee of R240.
- If you need accommodation, ensure that you mark this on the application form.
- Check the faculty specific requirements for which you are applying for before proceding to the application process.
- Note that Postgraduate applicants can only apply online.

Undergraduate Certificate Study:
To verify the eligibility for admission to undergraduate certificate study, applicants must consult the Admissions Office or the Faculty concerned.
Undergraduate Diploma Study:
- The minimum requirement for admission to undergraduate diploma study is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by Umalusi with an achievement rating of 3 (Moderate Achievement, 40-49%) or better in four recognised NSC 20-credit subjects.
