Industrial engineering is primarily about the effective and efficient utilisation of resources in both production and service-orientated enterprises.
The following are essential elements for professionals in the field of industrial engineering: Design, development and industrialisation of new production or service delivery systems, participation in continuous improvement programmes, project management, ​quality management, technical and economic feasibility studies, management of operational and support functions, logistics engineering supply chain management, facility layout planning.
