About the Department
The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship aims to make a significant contribution to the improvement of the national skills profile and contribute to the development of enterprises in support of job creation. They offer a range of programs in the fields of Management and Entrepreneurship, including a Master’s in Entrepreneurship. Their programs are career-focused and aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and skills required to further their careers in management or to start their businesses.
Students are given the option to choose between Credit Management and Administrative Management with an option to specialize in Financial Management and Entrepreneurship. As a student, you will gain current and relevant knowledge of management and entrepreneurship practice and theory from an esteemed department of world-class researchers and lecturers. Admission Requirements for TUT Management
To be eligible for admission to the Management program at TUT, prospective students must meet the following requirements:
- National Senior Certificate (NSC): Applicants must have a National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% in Mathematics and English.
- Minimum APS Score: Applicants must achieve a minimum Admission Point Score (APS) as stipulated by TUT. The APS is calculated based on the applicant’s NSC results, with specific points allocated to different subjects and achievement levels.
- Additional Requirements: Some additional requirements may apply, such as submission of a portfolio, completion of a pre-selection test, or participation in an interview, depending on the specific admission criteria set by the university.

The Management program at TUT encompasses a variety of key areas of study, including:
- Human Resource: Understanding organizational behaviour, employee relations, talent management, and strategic HRM practices.
- Marketing: Developing marketing strategies, consumer behaviour analysis, branding, and digital marketing techniques.
- Financial: Financial analysis, budgeting, investment strategies, risk, and corporate finance.
- Operations: Supply chain, project, quality control, and operations strategy.
- Strategic: Business strategy formulation, competitive analysis, strategic planning, and organizational development.
