TUT Drama

TUT Drama: The Department of Drama and Film is dedicated to an interdisciplinary belief that drama and film enrich each other. As such, we constantly fuse the creative, practical and analytical dynamics of drama, theatre, film and TV production in a collaborative environment, training the next generation of proficient storytellers. The Drama, Film and TV Production programmes have evolved into a formidable force on the South African performing arts scene.

Their programmes aim not only to prepare a skilled actor, director, teacher, administrator or writer but also to develop a sensitive, well-rounded artist, who understands, explores and interprets the total human form. We pride ourselves on their graduates who have set up their own production companies, are leading actors and actresses, and are exceptional directors representing the institution both locally and internationally.
