- The admission of students to TUT shall be conducted in terms of the rules and regulations of TUT, as approved by the Council, on the recommendation of the Senate. Prospective students may apply based on Grade 11 or mid-year Grade 12 results and may be granted provisional admission pending the final submission of Grade 12 results.
- Prospective students will not be admitted to any qualification without prior evaluation. All applications will be considered in respect of one campus only.
- A person who is granted provisional admission to the Tshwane University of Technology Online Application 2024 may be admitted to the second semester or year of study only if he or she has: Complied with the outstanding requirements of the National Senior Certificate or Senior Certificate examination, or an equivalent examination; or Passed any equivalent subject, as approved by the TUT Council. To be eligible for funding in the 2024 academic year, the applicant should make sure that all procedures are followed and that the terms and conditions for each funding category are met. If you do not follow these instructions, your application will be rejected. In general, no applications that are late or incomplete will be approved.

TSHWANE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (TUT) ONLINE APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION FEE 2025-2026
All applicants must pay an online application fee of R240. Quotation of programme fee Phone 086 110 2421 and request the quotation via e-mail or send an e-mail to general@tut.ac.za. The minimum deposit for Registration in 2025-2026
A minimum initial payment of R1 500 is payable before registration, as a first instalment of the total tuition fees. Payment will reflect on the student account 24 hours after a bank deposit has been made.
The Tshwane University of Technology, TUT Residence Accommodation 2025-2026
When to apply for residence accommodation: Our current residences can only handle about 22% of all TUT students. It is also in the best interests of students to act quickly while keeping the admission rules in mind.
- Only TUT forms submitted on time will be taken into consideration.
- Admission to a residence is possible only after successful academic acceptance and depends on the availability of space.
- Successful applicants will be notified in November.
- Late applications will not be considered for placement.

- To gain admission, a fully completed application form and recently certified copies of your original identity document and (National) Senior Certificate and/or highest academic results (certification may not be not older than one year) as well as the administration fee, must reach TUT before the specified closing dates for 2024.
- All Applicants should take note that Late applications will be considered only if there is space available in the programmes concerned. TUT can accommodate only a limited number of students per programme.
