How Do I Apply for NSFAS Online 2025-2026
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme, NSFAS Online Application for the 2025-2026 Academic year is open from 28 September 2025 to 31 January 2026. Applicants who need financial support for their University or College studies must visit the NSFAS Application 2025 portal at my.nsfas.org.za and submit an online application before the closing date or deadline. How to Apply for NSFAS Online 2025-2026
NSFAS Online Application 2025-2026 is very simple, easy and accurate. All current NSFAS beneficiaries are required to create an account on the new platform. Follow the steps below to apply
- Go to the NSFAS website: www.nsfas.org.za
- Click on myNSFAS tab at the top right menu of the page
- The Application window opens at my.nsfas.org.za
- Then, create a new NSFAS account with your email address ID number and cellphone number
- After that, use your NSFAS account details for the application process
- Click on the “Apply” tab
- Enter the required details in the space provided
- Upload the necessary documents
- Confirm if the details and documents uploaded are correct
- Then, click on the “Submit” button and send your application for review
Once the student clicks on “Submit” the application will be submitted successfully.
Document Needed for NSFAS Application 2025-2026
All applicants must provide the following supporting documents for the NSFAS online application for the 2025-2026 academic year.
- You must have your own cellphone number and email address
- Copy of your ID or birth certificate
- ID copies of parents, guardians or spouse (If applicable)
- Your proof of income or 1 year’s IRP5 (if applicable)
- Your parents, guardian or spouse’s proof of income
- If you are a SASSA grant recipient, no proof of income will be required
- The disability must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
- Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form
