History and Mission

Established in 2007, the TUT Durban Campus was formed to address the growing demand for higher education in the KwaZulu-Natal region. Durban Service Point

The Library and Information Services for the Durban Service Point is situated at 125 Prince Alfred Street, 3rd Floor,
Momentum House, Durban. The facility provides an information service to students and staff of the Department of Safety and Security Management.

    • Provision of information and references to information sources in the subject field of
      Humanities, particularly in the Department of Safety and Security, for both students and staff.
    • Keep University staff up to date with relevant information on the abovementioned field
    • Lend library materials to students and staff
  • Document delivery services
    • Lend books, journals, and multimedia
    • Borrow information sources from other libraries when they are  not available in the local library
  • Training and library orientation / Inter-Library Loans
    • Library orientation for first-year students at the beginning of each semester
    • Library orientation for newly appointed lecturers
