- Economics and Finance
This Faculty combines and integrates two main disciplines – a focus on engagement with and service to the business community and a focus on economic sciences. We provide quality and challenging education designed to meet the public and private sector employment needs throughout the continent and the SADC regions. We have a strong focus on entrepreneurship, propelling our graduates to also create jobs.
- Engineering and the Built Environment
Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment. TUT aim to provide relevant quality-driven professional career education of an international standard. They also strive to be a student- and stakeholder-centred and quality-driven in everything we do. We offer a portfolio of relevant, recognised and career-focused programmes that are locally relevant and internationally recognised.

- Humanities
The Faculty of Humanities is the largest faculty at the Tshwane University of Technology, comprising ten academic departments and offering more than 60 academic programmes. Under this Faculty, we have the departments of Applied Languages; Integrated Communication; Journalism; Law; Public Management; Safety and Security Management, as well as the newly-established School of Education. During 2016, the Faculty conferred a total of 24 doctoral degrees and 42 master’s degrees.
- Information and Communication Technology
Welcome to the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). TUT is committed to providing a range of programmes that will produce creative, adaptable, well-trained and well-rounded graduates who are fully equipped to participate in the key role science and technology play in the changing environment. To those of you who are starting with a tertiary qualification, congratulations on selecting the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology. Over the years, they have demonstrated excellence in teaching and learning, and we are proud of our reputation for producing highly employable and adaptable graduates and postgraduates.
- Management Sciences

Since choosing a career is such a complex decision, the Faculty of Management Sciences pride itself in keeping up to date with the ever-changing needs, opportunities and challenges of the labour market by means of active advisory boards and regular contact with commerce and industry.

Welcome to the Faculty of Science, TUT’s leading research faculty that makes substantial contributions every year to the total research output of the country. They is proud to have many rated researchers and lecturers of national and international repute, who attract substantial financial support for research projects from outside funding agents such as the National Research Foundation (NRF) and the Water Research Commission (WRC).
