Students remain our most valuable participants. Academic staff members in the department are specialists in various fields of engineering. Apart from being committed lecturers, they are also actively involved in cutting-edge research activities that span a range of areas in Mechanical, Mechatronics and Industrial Design. The qualifications are offered from national diploma up to doctoral level.
Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines, which applies the principles of physics and materials science for the analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools.
The mechanical student will be trained to use principles of mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, and structural analysis, along with tools like computer-aided engineering and product lifecycle management to design and analyse manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, transport systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices, weapons, and more.
