The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) Student Portal for the 2025 academic year is an online session for prospective and formal students to be able to create an NSFAS Account and log in to manage some academic activities.

How to Login to myNSFAS Student Portal for 2025

myNSFAS Student Portal is accessible for all prospective and formal candidates for the 2025 academic year. To be able to login into the portal, just follow the simple steps below:

1. Go to the NSFAS website: www.nsfas.org.za
2. Click on myNSFAS at the top right of the page
3. myNSFAS page will open for you at https://my.nsfas.org.za/portal
4. Read the welcome message and proceed
5. Enter your username ( your email address)
6. Then, enter your password
7. Finally, click on “Sign In” to log in to myNSFAS Student Portal

How to Recover your myNSFAS Account Password and Username: myNSFAS Portal

If you have forgotten your NSFAS password or username and want to reset it, follow the procedure below:

• Visit NSFAS website at www.nsfas.org.za
• Click on “myNSFAS”
• Then, select “Forget Password”
• Enter your ID number
• Choose what you require help with (Username or Password) or both
• Then, click on “Submit”
• The username and the link to change your password will be sent via SMS and email
• Open the link to be redirected to the reset password page
• Reset your password by following the prompts on your screen.
• Enter the “New password” and there you go. Your new password has been created and updated
• You can follow the same procedure to recover your username

PLEASE NOTE: Students are encouraged to keep their usernames and passwords safe and never share them with anyone.

Please ensure that you have a valid copy of your South African ID or unbridged birth certificate copy before you register your profile
