NSFAS Application 2024 Opening Date Online

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) Online Application 2023 opens on 28 September 2023 and closes on 21st January 2024. Therefore, all those who would like to apply for NSFAS 2024 should take note of the online application opening and closing date or deadline.

Apply for NSFAS Online 2024

If you want to apply for NSFAS Application Online, you need to have the following supporting documents with you:

  • Make sure you have your own cellphone number and email address
  • An applicant who is recognized as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form
  • A copy of your ID or Birth certificate
  • Applicants with a disability must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
  • Your proof of income or 1 year’s IRP5 if applicable
  • A copy of your parents, guardian, or spouse’s proof of income
  • If you are a SASSA grant recipient, no proof of income will be required
  • Provide ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse

How to Apply for NSFAS Application Online Form 2024

Follow the steps below to apply online for NSFAS 2024:

  • Go to NSFAS website: www.nafas.org.za
  • You must first create your myNSFAS account
  • After you create your myNSFAS account, click the “Apply” tab to begin your online application process
  • Update all your NSFAS online Application details.
  • Upload all your supporting documents
  • Clicking on the “SUBMIT” button to complete your application online.

WHO QUALIFIES FOR THE NSFAS BURSARY?

You qualify for NSFAS bursary if you are a South African citizen who plans to study in 2024 or you are already studying at a public university or TVET college and you meet the following requirements:

  • SASSA grant recipients
  • Your combined household income is not more than R350 000 per year or
  • A person with a disability with a combined household income of not more than R600 000 per year or
  • The student who began their university studies before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per year
